Hamilton Cardinals Sign Pitcher Chris Boatto

The Hamilton Cardinals are pleased to announce the signing of left-handed pitcher Chris Boatto. 

Boatto has pitched a total of 284 innings in the IBL, having played for the Welland, Burlington, and London organizations, over the past 7 seasons. In the 2023 season, he showcased his prowess by striking out 25 batters and walking only 7 over 23 innings, finishing the season with a commendable 3.80 ERA. Though he has only pitched 5 innings in the 2024 season so far, Boatto is eager to strengthen the Cardinals’ bullpen depth for the remainder of the year.

A native of Maple, Ontario, Boatto honed his skills at Alderson Broaddus University before his IBL career. During his time at the university, he recorded a three-season total ERA of 4.01 with 110 strikeouts and a 13-7 record.
