Hamilton Cardinals Sign Import Catcher July Vittini for 2025 Season

The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the signing of import catcher July Manuel Vittini.

Vittini, a 21-year-old, 6’2”, 190-pound athlete from San Pedro De Macoris, DR, is known for his athleticism and versatility behind the plate. These attributes caught the attention of the Cardinals’ front office during their November tryout at the Cano Baseball Academy in San Pedro De Macoris. A product of the Pittsburgh Pirates Dominican Republic Development Academy, Vittini joined the Pirates organization in May 2022 at the age of 19.

During his Minor League Baseball (MiLB) career, Vittini recorded  21 hits, 21 runs, 2 home runs, and 13 RBIs. He demonstrated a strong on-base percentage (.347) and an OPS of .630, showcasing his potential at the plate.
