Hamilton Cardinals Re-Sign Drew Mainprize for the 2025 Season

The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the re-signing of left-handed relief pitcher Drew Mainprize for the 2025 season. 

Mainprize, a 5’11”, 180 lb native of Ancaster, grew up playing youth baseball in the Hamilton area. He enters his 5th season in the IBL,, having developed his skills at the University of Guelph before joining the IBL in 2021 with the Brantford Red Sox. Over 37 career appearances, Drew has logged 46.1 innings, striking out 34 batters. Mainprize’s improvement was evident in his 2024 season with a career high in strikeout (11) to walk (3) ratio.

The Hamilton Cardinals will open their 2025 season at home on Friday, May 16th, against Mainprize’s former team, the Brantford Red Sox. Season tickets are available now at CardinalsTickets.ca.
