Hamilton Cardinals Re-Sign Right-Handed Pitcher Connor Cory

The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the re-signing of right-handed pitcher Connor Cory for the upcoming 2025 season.

Standing 6’1” and hailing from Wawanesa, Manitoba, Cory made a strong impression in his debut season with the Cardinals in 2024. Over 15 regular-season appearances, he recorded 18 strikeouts in 18.2 innings pitched, maintaining a strikeout-per-inning pace. He also made one playoff appearance, striking out two batters in a scoreless inning.

Cory’s standout performance of the 2024 season came against the Barrie Baycats, where he pitched three innings, allowing just one hit while striking out a career-high five batters and securing the save in an 11-1 road victory.

Before joining the Cardinals, Cory had a four-year collegiate career at Mayville State University in the NAIA. Over that span, he pitched 161 innings, recorded 132 strikeouts, and earned 2022 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) First Team All-Conference honours as a relief pitcher.

With experience as both a starter and reliever in baseball, Cory brings versatility and depth to the Cardinal's pitching staff. The organization looks forward to his continued development and contributions throughout the 2025 season.

The Hamilton Cardinals’ home opener is set for Friday, May 16, at 7:35 PM against the Brantford Red Sox. Tickets are available at CardinalsTickets.ca.
