YOUNG GRADUATES FROM JUNIOR TO IBL CARDS
HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals are pleased to announce the signing of infielder Jordan Young (Brantford On). Jordan graduates from the Hamilton Cardinals Junior team where he has been a leading player for many seasons to the IBL Hamilton Cardinals.
“We have had a great relationship with the junior team and I think that it’s important to have pipeline of talent that graduates from the junior team and plays at the IBL level. Jordan worked out with us all last year before COVID-19 ended the season and we look forward to seeing him succeed at this level. Injuries always seemed to hit him at the wrong time and he is now fully healthy. He can play many different positions and we shall see what Coach Castelli does with this talented young player.” Said Cardinals GM Jeff Lounsbury
Jordan will be attending Wilfred Laurier University in the fall and will continue to develop with their very successful program.
Entering his first IBL season Young states that “I look forward to being able to showcase my talents at a higher level, and contribute to the successful organization that the cardinals have established in Hamilton!”
The Hamilton Cardinals are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
